These terms cover this page and the email list on it. Citizen itself is not open to the public yet — when it is, the full product terms will apply to your account.

What this page is

Citizen is a non-partisan civic information service that is still in development. This page describes what it will do and lets you ask to hear about it. Everything on it is provided for informational purposes only.

Joining the list

Giving us your email means you are asking for the things you ticked, and nothing else. You can ask to be removed at any time by writing to support@citizenscorecard.app. You must be 18 or older to join the list.

No account is created

Leaving your email does not create a Citizen account, does not enroll you in anything you have to cancel, and does not commit you to becoming a user. Signing up for the beta is a request to be considered, not a guarantee of access.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse this page: no automated submission of addresses you do not own, no scraping at scale, and no use that violates applicable law.

Citizen is not legal, electoral, or financial advice. Nothing here is a promise about when the service will launch or what it will include at launch.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll note the version above and, if the change is material, tell the people on the list.
